I didn’t think of it originally, but after doing so much research, I decided looking into folding camping chairs wouldn’t be a bad idea.  I like to go camping twice a year into various wilderness and isolated areas across the nation like Colorado, New Mexico, Alaska, and even Vancouver (yes, I know Vancouver isn’t in the US).  Anyways, a padded folding chair for camping could make since as I always use some rickety aluminum lawn chair I’ve had since 1993 so now I’m looking around for a camping folding chair.

I loved the look of Cabella’s Ultra Premium Chase Lounger.  It’s hard to resist buying right now because it’s marked down from $149.99 to $59.99. It’s got a tray for a drink and your cell phone and reviewers have said it’s one of the most comfortable chairs around. I love the idea of just relaxing and melting away while I gaze out over the woods and river. Great quality and super sturdy. Te Cabella’s Ultra Premium can hold heavy or tall people like they are perched on a cloud. The only con is it’s heavy but otherwise this looks like the perfect camping fold chair. I like the orange and gray colors so I’ll have a hard time choosing if I buy this one.

Although I’m not a turkey hunter, another great folding chair from Cabela’s was the Cabela’s Seclusion Gobbler Lounger. This one is made specifically for turkey hunting as the name indicates but can easily work for hunting deer or any other ground hunting. Keeps you very low to the ground but is super comfortable because your legs are free and won’t get the circulation cut. Again, this outdoor folding chair is made for tall people and the feature that caps it off is the front legs on the Gobbler Lounger are longer than the back so even if you’re on a slope, it gives you stability. This is also on sale but for only $19.99, 33% off regular price at $29.99. You can’t beat that price for hours of comfortable, low to the ground sitting.

After two great finds, I couldn’t bring myself to leave Cabela’s and I took a look at the The Magnum Director’s Chair. They also had a standard, but the max weight on it was 250 lbs with a back rest of 32 inches. The Magnum was 325 lbs and 39 inches. These cool folding lawn chairs have a fold out platform for placing your food or whatever else. You can’t lean back in this folding camp chair, but you will be super comfortable whether you’re big, tall, or short. As you know, I’m a researcher so I need to look at other website before I buy, but I definitely got some good ideas on the standard to look for.
